The B. Kemény farm was launched as an experimental farm in 2024, with the primary goal of researching the possibilities with which chemical-free food ingredients can be cultivated and grown competitively in the future.
The consequence of intensive, large-scale agricultural technologies and food production is that the effects of products on our health are often harmful.
Our goal is to create high-quality ingredients with an ecological farming approach, in healthy, chemical-free conditions, on healthy, living soil, and to process them over time.
The roots of our family farm in Magyarbükkös and its neighbouring areas date back to the 15th century. We continue this tradition under modern conditions to help present and future generations
Our farm strives to produce healthy, clean soil with a rich biodiversity, without the use of synthetic materials or chemicals.
We are looking for effective ways to restore (regenerate) the biodiversity of our soils in the decade and a half until 2040. On our plough land and crop production, we are looking for varieties, cultures and technologies that can provide high nutrient values under changing climate and temperature conditions.
During our experiments and research, we are looking for the most modern technologies and tools to achieve our goals. We regularly and continuously perform analytical measurements and monitor changes and analyze data sets.
During our research and development, we are increasingly collaborating with similar European farms, research institutes and higher education institutions.
We also intend to share our results with the public, in keeping with centuries-old family traditions. We share our results with farmers in the region too.
We also have the same approach in stock farming. In free-range poultry and free-range cattle farming, ensuring natural conditions is a priority. Ensuring that the runs and pastures are free of fertilizers and chemicals is a primary task. The animals’ time spent in nature is all based on quality coming first, quantity is only secondary.
The forest on our property, like the grazing animals, is an organic unit of ecological and regenerative agriculture.
